Michael Webb‘s latest book focuses on the urgent need to create many more and better-designed affordable apartments, in US cities and around the world. To encourage public debate of this topic, the Los Angeles Forum and the Architecture + Design Museum are jointly hosting a panel discussion and reception on Saturday April 15th. The discussion will start promptly at 3pm at the A+D Museum, 900 East 4th Street, Los Angeles.
The panel will comprise Frances Anderton, host of DnA on KCRW and a former editor of The Architectural Review in London; Julie Eizenberg, co-principal of Koning Eizenberg Architecture, which has a long and distinguished record of creating affordable housing in Santa Monica and elsewhere; and Richard Loring, an architect turned builder-developer, who has commissioned leading LA architects to design condos of exceptional quality and is currently working with a team of architects on an innovative system of prefabricated construction. Michael Webb will moderate the discussion and sign copies of books on sale at the event.
Seating is limited. To RSVP, please click here and select “Admission”. A token $3 will be charged for admission, and a wine and cheese reception, sponsored by PAR, will follow the discussion.
