    Philip Jacobson has practiced architecture in Seattle for forty years, while also desiging furniture and lighting for commercial production and jewelry and home accessories for friends and family. This 'other' realm of design with its timeless structural and formal concepts is the subject of this book. Jacobson is professor emeritus of architecture and urban design at the University of Washington and is a Knight of Finland's Order of the White Rose. Grant Hildebrand is professor emeritus of architecture and art history at the University of Washington and author of Frank Lloyd Wright's Palmer House among other books.
